“8 years of preparations, 4 years of filming. The birth of "The Ancient Woods".
The Opening film of the Baltic Film days 2018 is the Lithuanian „Sengirė“. The director Mindaugas Survila will join us at the opening ceremony on Thursday the 18th of October.
You will have a great opportunity to meet the director earlier that day at a Master class. At 13.00 we will show the film and afterwards the director will present his work and answer the question you can't wait to ask.
We are proud to present the musical treat for the opening night- saxaphonist Lukas Zabulionis and percussion player Bart Fermie.
Saxophonist Lukas Zabulionis despite of his young age has already been in the spotlight for some years. He has earned himself a good reputation in the Norwegian jazz scene and established a characteristic sound.
Percussionist Bart Fermie performed with over 100 artists and bands and toured the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and North America. He teaches at the Conservatory of Music and the Academy for Theater and Dance both in Amsterdam and Codarts in Rotterdam.

Friday, October 19, you will have an opportunity to meet Edita Kabaraitė, the director of the Lithuanian film “100 years together”. She will be accompanied by the photographer and they will open an exhibition with photographs from the project.
